International Impact | NEA Singapore Delegation Conducts In-Depth Visit to Vortexinfo’s Cutting-Edge Achievements

2026-01-13

On September 26-27,2024, Mr. Ng Kheng Wei, Chief Technology Officer of the National Environment Agency (NEA) of Singapore, and his delegation visited Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces for an inspection and research tour.

Through on-site visits, project observations, and interactive exchanges, the delegation studied China’s environmental technologies and management practices, experiencing the vitality of technological innovation and exploring new opportunities for China-Singapore cooperation. As the host, Vortexinfo showcased its advanced experience in the field of urban environmental governance.

In Zhuji City, the delegation visited “Zhushifu Recycling,” a leading enterprise in the renewable resources industry. They toured the green sorting center, smart operations center, and standardized unmanned recycling stations, engaging in in-depth exchanges.

Rooted in the local context of Zhuji, Vortexinfo established the “Zhushifu Recycling” brand. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as the internet, big data, and AI, the brand has integrated processes including source sorting, front-end collection, green transportation, and sorting for reuse. Emphasizing high-quality service, efficient recycling, and high-tech applications, it has innovatively developed Zhuji’s distinctive green renewable resource recycling system, achieving efficient recycling and resource utilization of renewable materials. The successful experience from this work has attracted visits and studies from across the country.

At the nationally pioneering unmanned recycling station, the delegation observed how “Zhushifu Recycling” utilizes intelligent AI robots to provide “unmanned, around-the-clock” services for smart recycling and transactions of renewable resources. Vortexinfo’s newly developed intelligent beverage bottle recycling machine particularly captured the delegation’s strong interest. This machine employs AI recognition technology to automatically identify and collect plastic bottles, encouraging public participation in recycling through point reward systems, thereby promoting the sustainable development of plastic recycling. The delegation remarked that the “Zhushifu Recycling” model holds significant reference value for Singapore in building a circular economy system.

In Huzhou City, the delegation gained an in-depth understanding of how the smart management platform for household waste classification utilizes digital means to achieve efficient supervision and management of waste sorting. Supported by Vortexinfo’s technology, this platform employs IoT, big data, and AI to enable full-process digital supervision from waste disposal and collection to transportation and processing, effectively improving the accuracy and efficiency of waste classification. The NEA Singapore delegation expressed affirmation for Huzhou’s experiences and practices in intelligent waste classification supervision, considering them valuable references for Singapore to optimize its waste management processes.

During the inspection, the unmanned sweeping robot also became a focal point of attention. In Songling Subdistrict, Wujiang District, the delegation closely observed the robot’s operational status, including how it performs autonomous sweeping, automatic obstacle avoidance, and self-charging.

The unmanned sweeping robot features automotive-grade design, adaptable to complex urban environments. Its innovatively integrated multi-source heterogeneous sensor solution combines non-contact and contact sensors, enabling comprehensive, multi-level environmental perception and achieving centimeter-level precision in autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance. Self-adjusting cleaning components ensure efficient operation. Seamlessly connected to a cloud-based operations management system, the robot enables intelligent scheduling, real-time monitoring, and data analysis, enhancing operational efficiency and management precision. Taking its application in Suzhou as an example, the unmanned sweeping robot can operate around the clock, saving 50% in annual operational costs and playing a significant role in urban cleaning management. The delegation highly praised the innovativeness and practicality of Vortexinfo’s unmanned technology.

The visit by the Singapore delegation aimed to draw on China’s advanced experience and technological applications in environmental management, providing valuable insights for Singapore’s future sustainable development. The delegation spoke highly of Vortexinfo’s innovative solutions and advanced practices, expressing anticipation for broader future collaboration with Vortexinfo.

As an IT service provider in the fields of smart urban operations management services and digital urban governance, Vortexinfo has actively expanded into overseas markets in recent years, leveraging its technological strengths and domestic industry experience. Its products have already entered markets in Hong Kong and Singapore, with plans to further expand into Southeast Asia and Europe.

Hosting the Singapore delegation demonstrated Vortexinfo’s professionalism and influence in the environmental sector. This visit not only deepened the cooperative relationship between Singapore and Vortexinfo but also laid a solid foundation for Vortexinfo’s further expansion into overseas markets and participation in international projects. Vortexinfo remains deeply focused on industry-specific IT applications and services, collaborating with global partners to promote the development of environmental protection and public utilities, using technology to build efficient and livable cities.
